aceI met Karen through my vet. That was in 1994. I had just given up on a class that I had been taking because the instructor broke a choke collar on my dog, Ace! I thought he had broken his neck. I never went back, and began to doubt that I would be able to train my dog or even find someone I could trust to help me train him. Then along came Karen. Without uttering a word, she walked calmly into my home, stood for a moment, and my dog sat! Then we walked into the living room, and he laid down! I said, "Who are you, and what have you done with my dog???" Under Karen’s methods Ace earned his Canine Good Citizen certification. I proceeded to take my parents dog, Mitzie through the same set of classes, and she also passed her CGC. As my parents aged my mom is in a wheelchair and in assisted living. Mitzie is VERY well behaved and visits daily.

I have watched Karen take on dogs that I would be afraid of, and dogs that others have given up on, and turn dog-dogthem into social, stable, members of the family and community. Karen has a very innate sense of whattwo dogs the dogs need to rehabilitate. She also does this without yanking the dog around, punishing them, or any of the other nasty tricks they USED to use. She works with positive reinforcement, which back then was unheard of! I would trust her with my dogs, and have. That says a lot as there are very few people that would be afforded my trust. You can count on the fact that she has really thought out the problem and the solution. She does not do this arbitrarily. You can rest assured that when she gives you an answer, as unusual as it may seem, it is with good reason, and great results. I have trusted her with my dogs for fifteen years now and have never looked back. Thank you Karen.
